While tasting the most delicious champagnes, guests were mesmerized by the amazing artwork done by Wallace Piatt.  With Wallace’s art setting the stylish tone for The Marquee, DJ Calvin Riley got the night started out with an epic musical vibe. After DJ Calvin got the crowd warmed up and dancing, the stage was set for DJ Charles Feelgood. Since DJ Charles Feelgood mixing both a little funk and electronic music, the crowd couldn’t help but dance the night away and they did!

First of all, thanks to everyone who attended the debut party for “Santa Barbara Champagne Club” on June 3.  It was a raucous event, and we aim to keep the energy going with these special monthly installments.

Please join us for the next installment of “Santa Barbara Champagne Club,” continuing at The Marquee on FRIDAY, JULY 1.  Mark your calendars!  This party will remain an RSVP/Invite soiree, so please get on the list thru our FB page or thru one of our great hosts!

On July 1, we will also be offering a specialized tasting 7:30-8:30pm for $10 on 4 marques from Napa sparkling producer Domaine Chandon, including their traditional Brut, their phenomenal Rose, their Blanc de Noirs made 100% from the Pinot Noir grape, and finally their sweeter Riche.  This is optional, and you can decide once you arrive!  Chris Dixon from Moet Hennessy will conduct the educational tasting.

Multi-media artist Albertico Acosta (www.albertico.com) will again demonstrate his captivating light projections, and we’re happy to have local artist Jeff Hedlum showing his art too.

On the turntables, we are excited to showcase DJs Calvin Riley & Kohjay, who will bring their infectious house, sounds to you!

Also hosting the event will be Elizabeth Burke from Scout Fine Wines, Forrest Lang, Alex Gweed & Project M80.

On June 3^rd, The Marquee is proud to announce the Santa Barbara Champagne Club’s “First Friday”. Each month, we both aim to achieve something great! While you enjoy a glass of the best champagne, “First Friday” mixes art, music, and style combined with a dash of heightened sophistication.

This Friday – don’t forget June 3^rd – all guests can experience tasting some of the best champagnes. The featured champagnes include Ruinart, Dom Perignon, Chandon, Moet & Chandon, Krug, and Veuve Clicquot that will excite your palette. In addition to the finest champagnes, we are lucky to have artwork done by Wallace Piatt and music by Charles Feelgood and DJ Calvin Riley.

However The Santa Barbara Champagne Club couldn’t happen without our hosts. This time around, the Champagne Club hosted champagne tasting from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. For only 10 dollars, Mr. Chris Dixon, with Moet Hennessey, hosted champagne tastings. Each guest who joined us in the fun received four marques to taste and also learned about each of the champagnes. Some of the champagnes included were Domaine Chandon Brut, Domaine Chandon Rose, Domaine Chandon Blanc de Noirs, and Domaine Chandon Riche.

While tasting the most delicious champagnes, local artist Jeff Hedlum set the mood for an elegant soiree. Also, we were happy to have multi-media artist Albertico Acosta (www.albertico.com) demonstrate his captivating light projections. Because of them, the ambience was set and the live music only added to the excitement. DJ Calvin Riley got the night started out with an epic musical vibe. When the crowd was warmed up, the stage was set for DJ Kohjay. By mixing both house and classic favorite songs, the crowd could help but dance the night away!
